Briton Tommy Fury will make his return to the ring against Kenan Hanjalic in Budapest on 9 May.

The cruiserweight, 25, has not fought since beating YouTuber KSI – real name Olajide William Olatunji – in a boxing match 18 months ago.

After announcing the return on his social media last week, it has now been confirmed Fury will face 27-year-old Bosnian Hanjalic.

Hanjalic has fought five times since making his pro debut in 2019, winning four times and losing once.

Fury, who is unbeaten in 10 fights, underwent hand surgery after his win over KSI in Manchester, a bout which was not licensed by the British Boxing Board of Control.

“The hardest battle I’ve faced has been the mental battle of being away from boxing,” he said.

“But I’m back stronger, sharper and more HUNGARY than ever. “

Fury was scheduled to face former UFC fighter Darren Till in January, but pulled out of the contest after threats of “MMA tactics” from his opponent.

The Englishman is currently based in Budapest, Hungary, while he trains for his comeback.
