The singer attempted a jump while belting out the lyrics to his popular song Lionheart during his live performance in Birmingham. He fell and hit himself hard off the platform.

Tom Grennan gave fans in Birmingham more drama than they expected on Thursday night after suffering what he jokingly described as the “greatest onstage fall in history”.

The 30-year-old singer-songwriter was in the middle of an energetic performance when the accident happened. Grennan bounded across the stage while performing his hit track Lionheart before sprinting towards a raised platform.

However, the ambitious leap was a failure, and he soared backwards onto the ground in front of a crowded audience. The hitmaker resisted letting the tumble ruin the show despite it being obvious that they were hurt.

While performing Lionheart on stage, Tom Grennan suffered a significant fall.

He quickly returned to his feet and proceeded almost as though nothing had happened. Later, as he admitted, “Not gonna lie that really hurts,” the audience applauded him.

Later, Grennan shared video of the incident on TikTok. Before reassured fans with a follow-up message: “I’m good btw,” he wrote, “You’re just about to witness the greatest onstage fall in history.”

Fans praised the singer’s professionalism for holding on to the set despite the accident. One person wrote, “Amazing night, Tom! I’ve never stopped dancing all night; I’m hoping everything’s alright after the fall! “!

Another phrase was added, “Owned this fall!” Looked so painful, the performance was incredible, and we’ll see you next. The star was quickly urged by others to be cautious while traveling, with one caution: “Tom, you won’t get hurt on this tour.”

The onstage slip comes during a big year for Grennan. Earlier this summer, he quietly became a father for the first time, welcoming daughter Dorothy – nicknamed Dottie – with wife Danniella Carraturo.

The couple kept the news private for several months before announcing it on Instagram in August. Grennan has admitted that he initially struggled to adjust to fatherhood.

“For me, it was actually kind of tough because you go, ‘the baby actually doesn’t need me at all, what this baby needs is mum,’” he explained on his BBC podcast You About? “But then mum needs me, I need to be there just supporting and doing as much as I can. You don’t want to feel jealous of the fact that the baby wants what she wants, it’s more, it’s not jealousy, it’s just, ‘I’m useless right now’.

I’m seriously third-wheeling. I can’t really do anything but be incredibly supportive of Danniella, and I can’t feed her. The Little Bit of Love singer claims that having a father has been the best gift of his life despite those initial difficulties.

When he made the announcement of Dottie’s birth, he said, “To be stepping into fatherhood at the same time as it is the greatest gift I could ever imagine.” Being a father gave me everything, but music gave me a purpose. The present and the future I can’t wait for are all in the past, building me, and guiding me.
