Tom Brady’s ex, supermodel, Gisele Bundchen, has said ‘I do’ again after getting hitched to her jiu-jitsu instructor boyfriend.
The Brazilian, 45, who welcomed a baby boy with martial arts guru, Joaquim Valentes, earlier this year, split from NFL star, Tom in 2022. After declaring that their marriage was “irretrievably broken”, Gisele found love with her fellow Brazilian beau in 2023 before announcing they were expecting a baby together in 2024.
After Gisele initially hired Joaquim to teach her kids self-defense, they later reportedly got married on December 3 in an intimate ceremony at their Florida home.

According to TMZ, while Gisele and Joaquim didn’t broadcast the nuptials on social media or make a big spectacle beforehand, this wasn’t a ‘secret’ wedding because close family and friends knew about their plans. The couple were first spotted together in November 2022, when they visited Costa Rica with the model’s two kids she shares with Tom.
The Brazilian bombshell, who is hailed as one of the most iconic supermodels of recent times, originally denied a romantic relationship with her trainer, but a love later blossomed between the pair. In February 2024, a source confirmed the couple’s relationship to People magazine and noted that their friendship had become a romance.
They initially appeared to be close friends, “but they eventually became great friends.” She wanted to keep it quiet while getting to know each other because she is very private about this, a source at the time.
A second source said that Joaquim “was a huge comfort” for Gisele “while she went through her divorce” with Tom. She and the former NFL star filed for divorce on October 28, 2022, after 13 years of marriage.
Ahead of their shock split, Gisele reportedly told Tom that he “either leaves football to spend time with the family or she will be gone for good,” per a US Weekly article published in October 2022.
Additionally, the model also released a cryptic quote on Instagram at around that time, in which their divorce was announced, which read: “You can’t be in a committed relationship with someone who is inconsistent with you. Read that again.”
Before meeting Joaquim, the insider claimed that Gisele was hesitant to date following her divorce and that he was a great man. He is encouraging, kind, and down to earth. After the divorce, Gisele was reluctant to date Joaquim, but it seemed like a natural fit for her.
They share the same background, they say. Both of them were young when they left Brazil. Both of them have built incredible lives in the United States.
Gisele’s in a great space, the pair explained, explaining that they both enjoy traveling and healthy living in Florida. She finds life to be very enjoyable and joyful. Joaquim is ideal for her.
