Tinubu Approves Licenses For Kolmani Oil Project

The Kolmani Integrated Development Project’s crucial regulatory licenses have been approved by President Bola Tinubu.

Between Bauchi and Gombe states, the project is a multibillion dollar oil exploration project.

According to a statement released on Sunday by his Special Adviser for Media and Communication, Nneamaka Okafor, the minister of state for petroleum resources (Oil), Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, disclosed this during the commissioning of the state’s Alkaleri Local Government Area’s permanent site.

The statement states that it is crucial to activate all national facilities that are intended to aid in the transformation of Nigeria’s oil industry.

This resulted in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s approval to grant us the necessary regulatory approval to grant the Kolmani Integrated Development Project all remaining outstanding.

He was quoted as saying, “I emphasised this point while halting the construction of the permanent site of the Bauchi Oil and Gas Academy in Alkaleri (BOGAA), Bauchi State, in the Kolmani region.

He claimed that the President’s goal is still to use the sector’s full potential as a springboard for national prosperity.

He noted that Bauchi State was positioning itself as a strategic contributor to the development of human capital needed to propel the sector forward as the state accepted this drive through the establishment of the academy.

The Federal Government has remained in favor of advancements in human capacity and technology in light of our enormous fossil fuel reserves.

The Bauchi Oil and Gas Academy’s strong partnership with PTDF, according to the statement, “will ensure the sector’s long-term success and sustainability,” it added.

The Kolmani Integrated Development Project, which was first launched in November 2022, marked the beginning of Northern Nigeria’s oil exploration. It is located close to the Bauchi and Gombe states’ border, which is known as the Kolmani River II oil field.
