Thunder beat Dragons to clinch play-off spot

The Netball Super League’s top four team was defeated by Manchester Thunder 59-54 to finish ahead of Cardiff Dragons.

At Belle Vue Arena on Friday, Elmere van der Berg led the charge in scoring 37 goals, joining London Pulse and Loughborough Lightning in making the play-offs.

On 28 points, the Thunder moved up to second place in the standings, but they are still trailing against Pulse in goal difference.

Georgia Rowe, the Dragons’ bottom team, has lost all but one of their previous 12 games, and has now lost 26 goals.
