This Morning expert Lynsey Crombie, who has been dubbed the Queen of Clean, has opened up on her reaction to finding out her ex husband was a paedophile.
An expert who has appeared on This Morning was so disgusted at finding out her husband was a paedophile that she scrubbed herself with bleach, she says. Lynsey Crombie was pregnant with twins when she made the discovery.
The social media influencer, who has featured on the ITV breakfast show and has been dubbed the “Queen of Clean” has revealed just how ashamed she felt after finding out the truth about her husband. She admitted she was “afraid to leave the house” at the time.
Instead, she set about cleaning the house and says she covered everything – including herself – with bleach. “I remember pouring it all over the work surfaces, and over my own hands and arms and I scrubbed,” she said.
“I scrubbed everything – myself included – with a scourer,” she told the Daily Mail. She admitted she was simply desperate to rid herself and her home of all his germs, calling it a coping mechanism.
She went on to confess that while she was 28 weeks pregnant at the time, she fought with the idea of having his kids. However, she admitted she didn’t have a choice.
Such was the shock at finding out the news about her husband, she said she went into premature labour. Both of her children, Mollie and Olivia, where then born weighing under 3lbs.
Despite her initial fears, Lynsey candidly admits now that her children “saved” her. And she says she doesn’t think she would be here now if it wasn’t for them.
As she talks about him, rather than naming him, she refers to her ex as “The Freak” and said his offences were “the worst”. Revealing he isn’t involved in their kids’ lives, Lynsey heaped the praise on her second husband, Rob.
She revealed the girls consider him to be their dad. Lynsey and Rob also share a teenage son. And she revealed her ex had previously reached out to her during prison stints.
“He got two years last year, it’s the third or fourth time he’s been in,” she said as she revealed police had discovered “content of children and animals on his computer”.
She claimed that she found out on her wedding day that he had previous convictions. However, she claimed he told her that it was due to being in a fight. Looking back, Lynsey claims she can now pinpoint a number of occasions where she could have had red flags about the situation.
She has cut ties with his family since his arrests and admits her kids will have cousins they know nothing about.
