After it was revealed Walton Goggins’ real name was Walton Goggins was taking on a new role, The White Lotus’ fans took to social media to express their shock and torment.
Fans of The White Lotus have been left gobsmacked after discovering Walton Goggins’ real name. The actor plays the role of Rick Hatchett in the popular Netflix drama, but viewers were stunned by the latest revelation.
After it was announced the Hollywood star, 53, would be appearing on Saturday Night Live, fans took to social media to share their confusion by his real name. Taking to Twitter/X, fans shared their belief that he had been using a stage name all this time.
“Damn…. whose name is Walton Goggins? I always assumed his name was Walter Goggins, but I never realized.
Another wrote, “Wait, you’re telling me his name isn’t Walter Goggins,” and another wrote, “What do you mean his name isn’t Walter Goggins?” !
I’ve been in love since Season 1 of Righteous Gemstones, but I just learned that it’s actually WALTON. While removing detail from my resume, I’ll be using it. I’m so sorry for your love, Walton.
Despite initially being doubted by fans, the actor was actually Walton Goggins.
His upcoming stint on the long-running stateside satire show comes after they took aim at his Whit Lotus co-star Aimee Lou Wood. It was announced this week that he would be in the lineup for the 50th season, as too was Scarlett Johansson’s involvement.
A recent skit involving Aimee caused controversy surrounding the program. The actress has always prided herself on her teeth, but Sarah Sherman faked her in a cruel SNL skit while wearing exaggerated prosthetic teeth. Donald Trump and his team were seen in the fictitious White Lotus hotel in the sketch.
The British actress has openly spoken about her teeth in the past, but this time, she didn’t hesitate to express her disappointment over the SNL skit. She took to her Instagram Stories to say that while she didn’t mind being made fun of “when it’s clever and in good spirits” there “must be a cleverer, more nuanced, less cheap way” to do so.
“I did find the “SNL” thing to be mean and unfunny, xo. She said before adding: “She said righteous, might delete later. “What a shame because I enjoyed watching it a few weeks ago. Yes, take the p*** for sure, because that’s what the show is about, but there must be a more inventive, nuanced, less expensive way.
Aimee later showcased Sarah sending her flowers following her upset over the skit. Walton and Aimee Lou are rumoured to be feuding and Walton initially prised the sketch. In a now deleted post, he wrote: “Hahahahahhahaha. Amazzzingggg.”
Eagle-eyed fans recently discovered that Walton and Aimee were no longer following each other on social media, with some claiming that he had blocked her.
After previously describing Aimee as a “very special person in my life,” the alleged blocking appears to have come out of nowhere in an interview with The Telegraph.
