The fate of some of the characters in the eagerly awaited sequel has been raised by the Devil Wears Prada 2 filming. Two returning cast members were spotted working on a scene in New York today while the production was being staged.

It was announced back in June that production had begun on the sequel to the Devil Wears Prada (2006) ahead of its release next year. The upcoming film’s release is due to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the original, which is based on the novel of the same name, published in 2003.

The main characters from the first movie are expected to appear in the sequel along with some fresh faces. In recent weeks, their actors have been seen filming the project in the US as well.

They include Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway reprising their roles as Miranda Priestly and Andy Sachs respectively. They are joined by Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci, who are back as Emily Charlton and Nigel Kipling respectively.

In the first movie, Anne was depicted as Andy, a personal assistant to Miranda, the editor of the fashion magazine. She was seen in a black dress, a long coat, and heels. She paired her sunglasses with a matching handbag and handbag.

Instead of playing lead Anne, Stanley’s character Nigel, who was Runway magazine’s art director, wore a dark suit and matching shoes. While filming in the city, the actor was occasionally seen holding an umbrella.

Although it hasn’t been confirmed, it has been reported that the co-stars were filming a funeral scene. Since then, there have been rumors about Miranda and Emily’s possible murder.

One person wrote on X: “Miranda dead? ” after the filming. Another remarked, “Please don’t tell me Miranda died.” Someone recently said, “I need to know because I’m going to die if it’s Miranda’s funeral.

Someone else questioned whether Emily, who had been cast as Miranda’s senior assistant, might have passed away. “Oh Emily died,” they wrote.

While others have questioned whether someone else will be killed instead. Fans have suggested that Irv Ravitz (played by Tibor Feldman), who was the company’s chairman in the first movie, might pass away in the sequel, with one saying, “It’s gotta be Irv.”

Details about the plot, including whether there is a funeral, have yet to be announced. Alongside the returning actors, new additions to the cast for the Devil Wears Prada 2 are said to include Kenneth Branagh and Lucy Liu.
