After receiving criticism for voice her opinions following the shooting of Charlie Kirk, Anne Hegerty, the Chase star, has once more expressed her emotions.
Anne Hegerty isn’t shying away from her comments surrounding the death of Charlie Kirk despite being met with a huge backlash online. Quiz guru Anne, best known for her role on The Chase has slammed “idiotic” critics as she doubled down on her beliefs.
After the American activist was shot dead at a debate in Utah at the age of 31, users had criticized Anne for her “stupid and misinformed” post. However, she responded back in a furious manner by reaffirming her position on certain circumstances.
Taking to Twitter /X Anne wrote of Charlie Kirk’s suspected killer: “I hope Tyler Robinson gets the death penalty IS THAT CLEAR ENOUGH FOR YOU #idiots”

Her response came after comedian Ryan Long shared a satirical video. The sketch mocking those who were engaging in the conversation without offending their fan base was subtitled “Actor Not Sure His Charlie Kirk Post Has En Enough Qualifiers” by him.
Although the video didn’t specifically target any particular stars, it appeared as though Anne was getting frustrated. It followed her earlier assertions that “I had never heard of Charlie Kirk before Wednesday night.”
You just said WHAT, and I guess the conversation would have ended where we had been. You’re talking about my friends, and “and” Scuse me.
She continued, “I join Bernie Sanders in deploring his murder.”
Her remarks received mixed responses. You’ve never heard of him, yet you make erroneous assumptions, one user said. If you take the time to listen, there is nothing in his words that is controversial.
Another user said, “This post is incredibly misinformed, and you should really take it down. “
Last week, Tyler Robinson allegedly used a bolt-action rifle to shoot the activist in the neck. According to reports, he is alleged to have carried out the murder from a nearby campus building’s roof. Robinson’s father recognized him from the CCTV footage that was released by authorities after a 33-hour manhunt and surrendered to the police.
If found guilty, he could now face the death penalty.
Not just Anne, who is not well known, makes comments about the incident. Jimmy Kimmel has a Jimmy Kimmel Live in the states! show will permanently remove itself from ABC in response to his opinion.
The presenter took to the ABC programme to call out what he said he thought was hypocrisy in how Republicans have responded to Kirk’s death. But his actions saw the organisation take offence and pull his show from air.
Andrew Alford, president of Nexstar’s broadcasting division, said it “strongly objects” to Kimmel’s comments, with Donald Trump agreeing with the decision to axe the show.
Truth Social, the US president, said, “congratulations to ABC, and Kimmel has zero talent.” Not everyone, however, agreed, and famous people expressed their disapproval.
