Tess Daly’s daughter Phoebe Kay joined her at her investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle yesterday wearing a cream lace midi dress that hails from Kate Middleton’s go-to brand

Yesterday saw several famous faces being made a Member of the Order of the British Empire at an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle, and amongst them was TV star Tess Daly. The presenter was joined by husband Vernon Kay and daughter Phoebe Kay for the occasion, with Phoebe looking almost like her mum’s twin as she posed alongside her.

Whilst Tess opted for a striking red Roland Mouret Caped Crêpe Midi Dress (currently on sale down from £830 to £581), Phoebe picked a chic and understated cream lace midi dress for the occasion. Phoebe’s Cream Floral Guipure Dress was not only great for the occasion, but a subtle nod to royalty, with Self-Portrait being one Kate Middleton’s favourite brands that she wears on regular occasions.

Although Phoebe’s dress is now sold out, you can rent the same Cream Floral Guipure Dress from Hurr for as little as £5.99 a day. You also have the option of buying the dress via the Hurr site for £300 from a private seller, so you can get your hands on one of your own.

Alternatively, you can pick up an almost identical version of the Self-Portrait Lace Midi Dress on sale for £294 down from £420. This version differs from the one Phoebe wore in that it has black and diamante buttons, rather than gold ones, and Phoebe’s dress had a collared neckline, whilst this version has a round one.

Alternatively Self-Portrait also sells a mini version of the dress, which sells for £360 although you can currently save 30% at checkout, bringing it down to £252. The mini dress is a similar shirt style with gold buttons, but features a contrasting black collar and black piping details for a slightly more edgy look.

If you want to copy Phoebe’s look but need some more affordable options, H&M’s Long Lace Dress is £89.99 and features a similar button up shirt-style front, with a round neckline and semi-sheer floral lace material. Alternatively you can head to Phase Eight, where the Mandi Abstract Stripe Shirt Dress offers a similar style with a little more coverage, and is now down from £139 to £79, with both petite and regular lengths up to a size 26 available.
