Edoardo Todaro, a teenage wing from Northampton, was given a spot in Italy’s Six Nations squad as a reward for his prolific breakthrough campaign.
The 19-year-old is one of 33 players in Rome who will prepare to face Scotland in Rome on February 7. He won his only cap to date off the bench in the Azzurri’s 34-19 victory over Chile in November.
Since making his Saints debut in September, Todaro has scored nine tries in 12 games this year. He was also named Prem’s player of the month in October.
Paolo Odogwu, who did not receive a cap while playing for England in the 2021 Six Nations, is also a member of Italy’s squad.

Without Ange Capuozzo from Toulouse, who broke his finger in December, as well as Sebastian Negri and Ross Vintcent, who also have injuries.
The squad will be led by Michele Lamaro for a fourth consecutive Six Nations appearance, with Samuele Locatelli and center Damiano Mazza not playing.
“Having the chance to bring in some other players, new players, is also an opportunity,” said head coach Gonzalo Quesada, “at two years out from a World Cup, a little less now.”
“So that’s how we view it,” we replied. We never give a damn about missing something. Instead, we examine everything that is available and in our control.
