Noel Edmonds, the host of Noel’s House Party, opens the door on his inner-divine in Noel Edmonds’ Kiwi Adventure, in which he navigates life in New Zealand with his wife, Liz.
In his newest series, Noel Edmonds discusses some “very dark times.”, Noel Edmonds’ Kiwi Adventure. The iconic presenter, 76, famed for Noel’s House Party and Deal Or No Deal, is one of the most recognisable presenters in the country. However, in his new series on ITV in which he navigates life in New Zealand, with wife, Liz, the star admits he has, at times, felt suicidal.
Rob Brydon, the narrator, explained that Noel’s production company unexpectedly went bankrupt, which had a significant impact on the star’s mental health in 2005 during last week’s episode. Noel recalls that “some corrupt bankers” were responsible for the ordeal and that “my Unique group of companies was purposefully collapsed by some corrupt bankers.” And because my bank manager and four others spent 50 years in prison, I can safely say that.

He continues, “I thought I was a bad businessman when the businesses went into administration in 2006. I believed it to be my fault. “70 people lost their jobs,” he said.
Noel, a father-of-four, requested a huge statue of a knight from the Lord of the Rings studio after “winning his battle to get his losses back” and kneeling down in prayer for his sprawling garden in New Zealand.
The star, who calls himself “The Guardian,” appeared emotional, revealing that he had experienced suicidal thoughts. “He’s praying before he wakes up and defeats the dark force, the enemy.”
Noel continued, “I’ll tell you, when you go to that dark space, I used to kind of look down my nose and wonder why anyone would want to commit suicide.” What justification do they have for doing that?
If you’ve ever been in that dark space, I promise you that you’ll never be critical because there is no reason there.
Many viewers praised the presenter on social media after the heartfelt episode, saying they had been “to hell and back.”
One user on X wrote, “Say what you like about him, but he’s been to hell and back and is still standing, and I’m a fan and will watch him again next week.

Noel had previously made an admission to attempting suicide in 2005. He stated in a 2017 interview with the Mail that “I’ve thought a lot about that dark place I came from. Thankfully, the majority of people can’t possibly comprehend it.
“Yes, people have depression,” she said. However, it differs from the space you enter when all reason vanishes, when hope, logic, and rationality vanish.
Without hope, life is meaningless. There is no logic here. How illogical is it to love your family and children so much?
