Taylor Swift is still making headlines with her new album The Life of a Showgirl but fans are convinced she is already dropping hints about her next project.
Taylor Swift fans are convinced they’ve spotted a major clue about the popstar’s next album – just days after she dropped her latest project.
Taylor treated Swifties to 12 new tracks with The Life of a Showgirl, which was released on October 3. The 35-year-old singer has also unveiled a new six-part docuseries and concert film coming to Disney+ this December.
The two projects will give viewers behind-the-scenes access and front row seats to the superstar’s record-breaking Eras Tour.
The announcement came on Monday (October 13), alongside a 90-second trailer which proved more than enough for Swifties to dig up potential Easter eggs.
About 14 seconds into the teaser, Taylor can be seen holding her cat as she walks past a sign that reads ‘A13’.
While it may seem insignificant to the average person, Taylor’s fans are certain the clip was purposefully included in the trailer to tease her thirteenth album.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one fan shared a screenshot from the video and penned: “Wait you’re kidding…”
Another music lover was left puzzled and asked: “I don’t understand, what’s wrong with Taylor walking happy with her cat?”
To which someone else explained: “One might ponder upon the A13 sign very visible in the shot and perhaps, in a wild, ecstasy-fuelled sort of insanity/euphoria, dare to suggest that TS13 might be in the cauldron getting cooked up.”
Meanwhile, others instantly understood the post. A Swiftie wrote: “But it’s like way too soon for this right…..right?”
The original poster replied: “She posted A12 a year before it came out,” before suggesting that the Easter egg could simply be teasing that Taylor’s next project is in the works.
Someone else posted: “I thought ‘No way she’s teasing TS13’ and then I remembered she’s Taylor Swift so…” with another sharing: “I yelled when I saw this, she is so funny.”
And a final fan theorised that the next album’s lead single might be featured “at the end of the Eras Tour film”.
Fans may not be far from the truth considering Taylor’s last album, The Tortured Poets Department, was released just last year.
