Taylor Swift has made a significant announcement to the public. The singer-songwriter thanked her supporters for their continued support in a lengthy statement that described the news as her “greatest dream come true.”
Taylor, 35, claims to now own “all the music,” including unreleased songs, that she’s ever produced. Following a controversy over her back catalogue, which has previously caused controversy, she released re-recorded versions of albums from earlier in her career.
Re-recorded versions of her debut album, Taylor Swift from 2006, and Reputation, which came out in 2017, were still available, according to the Grammy Award winner’s teaser in a message posted on her website. She said it will be “when the time is right” and that there will be a “celebration” as well.
Taylor told fans today, “All of the music I’ve ever made… now belongs to me.” She claimed that it includes all of her unreleased music videos, concert videos, album artwork, and photography. “The memories,” she continued. The magic . The madness . Every single era. My life’s work is.
She said, “My mind is just a slidehow at the moment, but I’m trying to organize my thoughts into something coherent.” A collection of all the opportunities I longed for, wished for, and wished I never saw the opportunity to share this news.

Taylor claimed that the company had made a “business deal” with her, who is said to have most recently owned her masters, but that they had taken it for granted. She continued, “My memories, my sweat, my handwriting, and my decades of dreams.”
Fans have been eagerly awaited the release of Taylor’s Version, which she also updated. Taylor claimed that she hasn’t “yet” even re-recorded a quarter of it. However, she didn’t rule out finishing the new version.
Taylor claimed that the album was “so specific” to a specific period in her life, and that she “continued to hit a halt” when she attempted to remaster it. Taylor continued, “I’ve already completely re-recorded my debut album, and I really like how it sounds now. If that’s something you guys would be interested in, those two albums may still have their moments that when the time comes. She claimed that it wouldn’t come from a “place of sorrow and longing” if it were to be celebrated now.
She concluded, “I’m extremely encouraged by the conversations this saga has reignited in my industry among artists and fans.” I’m reminded of how crucial it was for everything to happen when a new artist claims they negotiated to own their own master recordings in their record deal.

After his former band’s manager Scooter Braun purchased Taylor’s former record label Big Machine Label Group in 2019, his company Ithaca Holdings acquired the rights to her six albums. The previous year, Taylor left the label and reportedly held the rights to her first six albums. She had recently signed with Universal Music Group. Then it was revealed in 2020 that Shamrock Holdings had purchased her master recordings.
