Just days after he praised the Britain’s Got Talent legend, Susan Boyle praised Timothée Chalamet while posing in a jacket that the Marty Supreme actor had gifted her.
Susan Boyle revealed that Timothée Chalamet gave her a sweet gift. The 29-year-old man who revealed he was a huge fan of the 64-year-old operatic pop singer earlier this month shocked the entire country.
The news also came as a shock to Susan, who found fame on Britain’s Got Talent in 2009. But now, Timothée, who shot to global recognition after taking on the role of Elio Perlman in Luca Guadagnino’s coming-of-age film, Call Me By Your Name, has honoured Susan with a one-of-a-kind gift.
In order to promote his most recent film, Marty Supreme, Chalamet, who was born in New York, has been handing out jackets decorated with the movie’s name to people he considers to be true greats. Susan is one of those.
“Thanks so much for the kind words once again, Timothée,” Susan said, reports the BBC. She added: “All the very best for the film, looking forward to seeing it on Boxing Day and thanks for the jacket, it fits like a glove!”
Fans have since reacted on social media, with one writing: “Susan Boyle receives the MARTY SUPREME jacket.” A second penned: “This is so cute.” “He is so adorable,” commented a third. Meanwhile, a fourth went on to add: “My queen, my everything, you deserve this and more!”
Another person cried, “I’m crying because he’s knighting people.” However, a sixth person remarked, “Susan Boyle, because she dreamed more than anyone else.” At her Britain’s Got Talent audition, Timothée had previously revealed how fascinating Susan’s rendition of Les Misérables I Dreamed A Dream from Les Misérables was.
While promoting Marty Supreme, during an appearance on BBC Radio 4’s Today programme, he was asked who his all-time greats were. He said Susan, alongside Sir David and Lady Victoria Beckham. “She dreamt big – she dreamt bigger than all of us,” Timothée said.
He added: “Who wasn’t moved by that? I remember that like it was yesterday. That was like the advent of YouTube, you know?” Shortly after the unexpected revelation, Susan took to social media to praise Timothée for his kind words. Writing on Facebook, she said: “This has been so incredibly touching to read. I’m very flattered, Timothée.
Knowing that moment would mean something to you after all these years truly humbles me. We all have a dream and a little hope in our lives, don’t we? We all ought to have big dreams!
“I wish you every success as you continue to dream your own dream. Thank you for your kindness and for remembering that moment so fondly. With love, Susan.” Despite Susan’s undeniable talent, the singer finished the ITV talent competition in second place, with dance team Diversity taking the top spot.
Despite this, she eventually became one of the biggest musicians in the UK. One of the top-selling albums of the twenty-first century was her debut album, I Dreamed a Dream (2009). It was one of the top-selling albums worldwide in the same year and sold more than ten million copies worldwide.
In less than two years, she also recorded her first female album, which charted at the top of the UK music charts.
