
Rasheedat Ajibade, a star of Nigeria, has signed for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) Féminines, where she will collaborate with fellow rival Jennifer Echegini.
The Super Falcon’s arrival comes as a result of PSG’s statement on Tuesday announcing the signing of Nigerian striker Rasheedat Busayo Ajibade, who has signed a deal that runs until June 30th, 2027.
A “Major Step” For Ajibade
An excited Ajibade, affectionately known as “Mummy G,” arrived shortly after her unveiling. O. “Her move to France was a “major step” in her career, she said.
The 2018 WAFCON champion stated on the website of the club, “I’m very pleased to be joining Paris Saint-Germain, a top-drawer club in Europe.” “This is a significant step for me,” I said, “and I’m determined to give everything I can to help PSG win titles and inspire young footballers, whether they are from Nigeria or elsewhere.”
The former FC Robo Queens forward spent four and a half seasons with Atletico Madrid Femenino in Spain.

Avaldsnes IL’s Ajibade, 25, left the Norwegian side for the Spanish side in 2021. In 139 games for Atletico, she helped Atletico win the 2021 Spanish Super Cup and the 2023 Copa de la Reina. The Nigerian made eight goals and three assists in 25 games during the campaign for 2024/25.
Her arrival in France comes a week after her 10-game winning streak with the Super Falcons ended in a record-extending Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
In her second WAFCON victory, the captain of Nigeria was chosen as the tournament’s Player of the Tournament.
Ajibade represented the Super Falcons at the 2023 World Cup, where Nigeria advanced to the round of 16 before losing to England, at the birthplace of Mushin in Lagos on December 8, 1999.
