Sultan declares Saturday, March 1 as commencement of Ramadan nationwide

The Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), led by its president-general and Sokoto’s ruler, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, has declared Saturday, March 1 the country’s official day of the Ramadan fast.
In his declaration speech, Sultan said, “I urge all Muslims in this country to dedicate the entire month of Ramadan to full worship of Allah. Tomorrow, March 1st, 2024, is Ramadan 1 1446 A. H.” pray for all of our citizens, our leaders, and our country.
