Thomas Skinner, the Apprentice star, has broken his silence following a report that he would be “suing the BBC for rigging voting” as a result of his early departure from Strictly Come Dancing.

After being the first celebrity to leave the show this season, he told X, “I won’t be at the final of Strictly Come Dancing tonight,” confirming that to X. This is what I want to say first. I spoke with Amy Dowden, my lovely dance partner, to make sure she understood that I wouldn’t be there.

I would never let her down because she is now both a good person and friend. I was enthralled when I was offered the chance to perform Strictly back in April. Not because I can dance, but… I can’t. But because I wanted to test myself and discover something completely out of the ordinary.

He claimed he received an “anonymous email” “the night he received the boot from the show,” in which it claimed he had received more votes than it appeared, and that it wasn’t true. Since then, the email has been independently verified.

After meeting with USA Vice President, JD Vance, Tom continued, claiming that the email mentioned that the BBC was “very angry and nervous” because I met with JD Vance (USA Vice President). Let me be clear: I’m not a political jerk. Never have been. I’m patriotic and just love my country. The media has identified me as a political figure. If someone had seized a chance similar to what I did, they would have seized it. I still find it revolting for a man like me, who rents mattresses from a van and refers to a senior figure in world politics as a friend.

Tom then claimed that he had requested the official voting results but that the email had been sent with the statement that “couldn’t be shown to him,” adding that he had also asked for the official voting results. and have never been shown before in the show’s history.

Tom continued, “I have spoken about the email I had received to senior people and the BBC welfare team, who btw I genuinely respect,” insisting that he “genuinely respects” the BBC and that it was the broadcaster’s welfare team who advised him to seek legal advice. And because of how unfair everything was, they were the ones who advised me to seek legal counsel. (This was not my intention at all.)

A spokesperson for the BBC said that the public vote for Strictly Come Dancing is robust, independent, and thoroughly verified to ensure complete accuracy when pressed to comment on earlier reports that Tom was bringing legal action against the BBC.

Additionally, the corporation has disclosed to the Mirror that it hasn’t received any paperwork or legal complaints related to this issue.

Tom’s post has received a response from the BBC.

In a further bombshell statement, Tom mentioned Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly, both of whom are leaving Strictly when the current series wraps up tonight.

After claiming to have received the “unknown email,” he suggested that their departure was ” coincidental.” I also want to take this seriously. A very senior BBC official has since resigned after receiving this information and having it verified. Although it didn’t have anything to do with me, it did feel strange. The main hosts also resigned the following week. Again, I don’t want to sound off about it. All of it is purely coincidental. I’m being truthful, I promise.

Tom replied, “I’m not kicking off for attention,” insisting that he wasn’t. I’m not arguing that I should have won either. We all are aware that I was terrible at dancing. Love or hate me, though, you do have to respect my enormous following. I can’t even walk into a Tesco without being stopped for selfies.

“I simply think in fairness and respect.” I wish each and every dancer a happy dance tonight. They deserve their moment because they have worked their socks off.

I have fish on my stall, and I love my family more than anything, according to the statement.
