As things get closer to the show’s final act, Lewis Cope and Katya Jones both appear to be taking the competition seriously.
Lewis Cope and Katya Jones, both of whom were taking breaks during rehearsals for Strictly Come Dancing, were caught tussling.
The duo have been practising their Rumba ahead of the live show tonight, which they will perform to Harry Styles’ hit Falling. They were seen locked in the intense conversation as they took a break from the studio, with an onlooker claiming the discussion looked serious.
The conversation likely will turn to the following performance because Lewis and Katya are both known for pushing themselves hard. While Katya spoke to Lewis, the pair appeared to be having a heated discussion. Lewis was seated with his arms crossed as the conversation progressed.
The pair – who are favourites to reach the finale of the season – definitely had something important to talk about whatever the topic. The Emmerdale star and his Strictly pro partner scored a perfect 40 when they performed at the Blackpool Ballroom last weekend with their Charleston to I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor.
James Jordan, a former Strictly star, even went as far as to call it one of the bands greatest performances ever. He claimed that he even thinks Lewis is more talented than some of the dancers competing in the popular dance series right now.
He claimed Lewis performed “80%” of the moves that the male pros couldn’t. He claimed that “he has full training in dance.” Without having f*ing much dance training, you can’t go out and do what he’s doing.
People who have no dance training are s**t in comparison because it would make our profession appear to be very simple, and it’s not really simple.
In his later years of dancing, Lewis joined the street dance group Ruff Diamond, which provided him with a background. The crew also won numerous national dance competitions, including the 2013 Sky’s Got To Dance final. James continued, “Truly, if you watch that routine back from last week, he was as good as, if not better, than Katya.
“And I can honestly say that some of the things he did were impossible for me because we weren’t trained in that,” said one of the boy pros on the show. “On the other hand, I would put my bottom dollar on some of the things he did.”
We’ve never done that before,” they say. I’d break my spine if I attempted to do some of what he was doing.
I adore it. I enjoy his motion pictures. He was amazing, in my opinion. In my opinion, he performed both of his couples’ wedding dances on Strictly and the one from last week. It was exceptional. However, because he is dance-trained, that is all.
Lewis and Katya are competing for the Glitterball trophy against the other remaining contestants, including EastEnders actress Balvinder Sopal, former England footballer Karen Carney, Love Island winner Amber Davies, actress Alex Kingston and influencer George Clarke.
