Craig Revel Horwood is open to criticism whenever he feels, but his actions on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing put him in hot water with a professional dancer.
Craig Revel Horwood might be best known for his snappy comments towards Strictly’s celebrity contestants, but it was one former professional on the show that he had a real falling out with. The sharp-tongued judge on the BBC show isn’t afraid to speak his mind, and it landed him in a bitter dispute with former star Brendan Cole.
Fans enjoyed watching the pair, who used to shoot each other at each other frequently. However, it is said that as the years progressed, it developed into a “hatred.”
Brendan has left the audience’s delight while Craig is still snapping at contestants. He will be remembered as the first-ever professional to win the BBC show and a fundamental part of the structure of Strictly Come Dancing. He and Natasha Kaplinsky, both newsreaders and presenters, shared the Glitterball trophy in the first season.

He left the show after 15 years, but it’s unlikely he’ll be able to keep in touch with his adversary. Craig and Brendan frequently exchanged verbal exchanges.
This dated back to 2009 entirely. When Craig cruelly compared Jo Wood to “a bush kangaroo,” it irritated Brendan, her dance partner.
With his comment leaving Jo visibly upset, Brendan jumped to her defence and placed a comforting arm around her as he led her away. Even former show host Bruce Forsyth called the comment “too personal” at the time.
The pair continued until Brendan learned that his contract wasn’t being renewed in 2018. And it appeared Craig’s decision was in his best interest, who argued that the show “will be better” without him.
Craig claimed that the star’s outbursts cost him when he opened up about his thoughts. Craig said, “More fool him, than I did at the launch of US rockstar Meatloaf’s Bat Out Of Hell musical in London’s West End.”
He claims that “the show has done him a miracle.” It has a wonderful effect on us all. It’s been fantastic. Never would I have a complaint about it. We now have a platform from which to stand. How many people in their lives have jobs that will last for 15 years? not many . “Be thankful.
And despite previously trying to make amends with the dancer, Craig simply admitted in a chat to Kate Thornton: “We hated each other.” When it comes to this year’s competition, the pair once again have completely different opinions.
Brendan recently acknowledged that he disagrees with Craig’s assessment of the potential winner for this year. During the launch show, Craig was asked which of his favorites, and the straight-talking judge responded, “I can probably tell you who won’t win darling, but I think the ladies are quite strong this competition – they look like that so far. “
However, Brendan later noted, in a conversation with Sky Vegas, that she didn’t quite understand what Craig Revel-Horwood was saying there because she didn’t think the women were particularly dance-able. People like Lewis Cope and Harry Aikines-Aryeetey (Nitro) were the strength I saw.
