Sting’s return to Liverpool recently took a sombre turn when the drummer from his support act, The Christians, collapsed mid-performance. The frontman, Garry Christian, cried out for help when drummer Lionel Duke collapsed at the On The Waterfront festival on Sunday.

Before being taken off the stage, checked by the on-site medical staff, and taken to the hospital, a privacy screen was soon installed around him. Emma Bridget, the band’s manager, later revealed that despite initially not having a pulse, he was receiving medical attention. We’re really hoping he’ll make it, he said. He apparently has a pulse right now, despite not having one. She thanked you so much, “Thank you very much.”
