Stephanie Davis ‘sobbed’ in an emotional message to her partner, Joe McKalroy, only months before their shock split. The 32-year-old soap star shares a five-month-old son named Samuel with partner Joe, whom she had been dating since 2022, but recently confirmed the two went their separate ways.
Stephanie confirmed on Sunday on social media that her relationship with Joe was over and that she would have a solo child raising career. What caused the once-strong relationship to fall apart, she did not explain. Joe and Steph gave birth to Samuel the day after their split for a few months.

Joe took to his Instagram in January to share a gushing tribute to the newborn and said: “Welcome to the world my beautiful baby boy Samuel McKalroy. Named after your uncle the one and only who will always weigh heavy on my heart I wish so much that he could’ve met you and cherished you as much as I do.
“It has been a traumatic experience but you are finally here in our arms. I never thought I could possibly love your mummy anymore than I already do but this is just so special and an unconditional love I cannot explain with words. @stephaniedavis88 I love you more than you will ever know.”
Steph admitted to “sobbling” reading the post in the comments section. She cried, “Sobbing reading this, my heart,” Joe said. You are more important to me than anything else in this world.
“I couldn’t love you more, and I’m so fortunate to have you as our father,” she said. “Despite that, it was so difficult. I have a greater love for you than I have ever been.
In a post shared online, Steph recently discussed her breakup with Joe. She stated in a post on Instagram that she had never imagined writing something like this. I have no choice but to refute the rumours.
She continued, “This has come as a complete shock and has been incredibly painful and unexpected.” I’ve opened this chapter on my own just four months after having a baby, which is one of the most heartfelt and vulnerable times in a woman’s life.
She continued, “I truly believed I’d finally found my happiness – something secure and lasting,” referencing her previously troubled romance with reality star Jeremy McConnell, with whom she shared a seven-year-old son. But that hasn’t been the case, which is heartrending.”
Stephanie continued, “I’m grateful for the years we spent together because I wouldn’t have my Samuel.” Who will always be my top priority?
She said, “At this time, I’m focusing on healing, keeping my peace, and doing everything I can to support my two beautiful boys.”
