Stacey Solomon shared her candid thoughts on a big decision by the 2025 National Television Awards ahead of her arrival at the annual ceremony at London’s O2 Arena
Just hours before taking to the National Television Awards red carpet in London, Stacey Solomon hit out at a “ludicrous” decision by the organisation. After overhearing Magic Radio presenters Tom Price and Lucy Horobin discussing what big fans they were of BBC reality show Stacey & Joe, the former X Factor star decided to ring in to say thank you.
Speaking to the presenters, Stacey said: “I was listening to you and you were being so lovely I thought oh my gosh I need to call in.”
As Lucy asked about Stacey & Joe and Sort Your Life Out going head to head in the Entertainment category tonight, Stacey said: “They’ve put Sort Your Life Out and Stacey & Joe in the same blummin’ category for some reason.

“We’re up against each other which is absolutely ludicrous! But you know what I’m so grateful to just be going, it’s so nice to be shortlisted and nominated knowing that it’s a public vote.”
Stacey added: “All our family are going to be there, it’s the first time our family has got to go to anything like this so it’s going to be amazing no matter what happens.”
Tom questioned how Joe would feel if Sort Your Life Out takes home the prize as he is not involved. Stacey joked: “He’ll secretly be giving me daggers, but outwardly I’m sure he’ll clap!”
The 35-year-old had also earlier issued a statement ahead of tonight’s NTAs following her epic rant after her BAFTAs snub. The presenter was fuming in May when she lost out on two gongs for her BBC show, Sort Your Life Out.
And now, after posting a snap of an elegant black dress hanging up in the bathroom of Pickle Cottage as well as two adorable girls’ floral dresses alongside suit jackets and trousers, Stacey told fans she was grateful to be nominated.
She wrote: “It’s NTA day. Just got home from work, now it’s time to get ready. Just wanted to say, no matter what, I’m so grateful to be nominated for an NTA.
“The fact that we are going tonight with our whole family is so special, I can’t even put it into words. It’s voted for by YOU so thank you from the bottom of our hearts for giving us this moment. We will never forget it and NEVER take it for granted. To the moon and back everyone x.”
Earlier in the year she hadadmitted she was ‘devastated’ after losing out on a gong after being nominated for Entertainment Performance for her show, Sort Your Life Out. The gong was instead awarded to Joe Lycett.
The BBC One show was also nominated for Factual Entertainment, but was pipped to the post by Rob and Rylan’s Grand Tour.
Tending to her garden at Pickle Cottage, Stacey shared a video of herself the morning after the awards. In it she said: “Good morning from the veg patch, about to do the morning water. We didn’t win a BAFTA and I know I’m supposed to take it gracefully like a champ but I’ll be honest I’m devastated.
