Spurs sign Chelsea’s Hamano on loan until June

Maika Hamano has been signed on loan until the end of the season from Chelsea, according to Tottenham.

After achieving her full potential at Chelsea since joining in 2023, the 21-year-old Japan international is looking for regular game time.

Hamano is primarily used as a winger by Japan, but he can play a number of positions in the middle of the park and in the attack.

She was a member of the Japan Women’s World Cup squad for the 2023 Women’s World Cup and has made 45 total appearances for Chelsea, including seven this year.
