Archie Gray, a teen from Tottenham Hotspur, is determined to improve following Crystal Palace’s valuable 1-0 win.

After being dispossessed on the edge of his own penalty area, Gray was at fault when Spurs conceded a goal in a 3-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest, but he was later supported by Spurs manager Thomas Frank.

The 19-year-old made his 112th professional appearance with a close-range header to earn a goal for the first time for Spurs’ midfielder.

After assisting Tottenham to only their ninth Premier League victory, Gray remarked, “It was a challenging game for me at Forest.”

“It was obviously my fault, but in that game, I just tried to get on the ball as much as I could, and I tried to be positive and forget about the error.”

Every child dreams of getting a goal, he added, “Obviously, this still wasn’t the best game; it was a scrappy game.”

We were aware that if we could keep a clean sheet, we would have the opportunity to try to score a goal. Everyone in our back four was amazing about the mentality.

“I just found myself in the right place at the right time,” according to Richy (Richarlison’s) film, which performed the best. What was my two yards from the goal when I stood?

It’s an incredible feeling, even though I didn’t really have much to do.

Gray was a member of the renowned Leeds team of the early 1970s, along with his parents Eddie and Frank Gray, both of whom were members of a long line of professional footballers.

However, his recent error was helped by his father, former Nottingham Forest forward Andy Gray, who gave him advice.

My father has always said to me, “Just get on the ball and don’t be scared when you make a mistake,” Gray said. I have always been a fan of that, and I never will hide for the ball or anything similar.

“It is not something I have done or will do,” he continued. Sometimes I play football, and I just have to learn from that. Every day, I’ve been putting it right, and I’ve done it.
