Spurs’ Davies injury concern for Wales World Cup bid

After suffering a serious leg injury while playing for Tottenham Hotspur, Wales captain Ben Davies departed the field on a stretcher.

In the opening 20 minutes of Saturday’s Premier League game against West Ham, defender Davies, 32, was given oxygen before being taken off injured.

Prior to the World Cup play-offs in March, Craig Bellamy’s side will be concerned about the injury.
