In the Hungarian Darts Trophy final, Danny Noppert defeated Luke Humphries 7-6 to claim his first European Tour title.

The 25-year-old German had a final lead of 5-3, but Noppert won the final, where he hit double eight, to defeat the winner.

Before falling to Josh Rock in the semi-finals, Springer had previously defeated world number one Humphries in the final eight with back-to-back 11 dart legs.

Noppert, who won the UK Open in 2022, defeated world champion Luke Littler 7-4 in the semi-finals but was beaten by Springer in the final despite hitting seven 180s.

Gerwyn Price, the seventh-ranked player, was scheduled to face Littler in the quarter-finals for medical reasons, but he withdrew.
