A soap star has welcomed their second child after going through a heartbreaking IVF journey. Home and Away’s Luke Jacobz and his wife, Raychel, shared adorable first photos of their baby as they made their happy announcement.
The actor, who played Angelo Rosetta in the Australian soap, shared the exciting news with his followers and confirmed their baby’s name. Luke, 44, and Raychel, 37, were already proud parents to daughter Maisie, who they welcomed through IVF.
Their newborn son was conceived naturally following their long fertility battle. Doting dad Luke shared a series of photos of their little boy as he revealed: “On Monday, our little family of three, grew a little bigger and we are all so in love already. Welcome my baby boy John James Scott.

“We named him after my Dad, Raychel’s Dad and uncle. Named after the men who helped shape both our lives so their legacy can live on.”
Luke also made sure to praise his wife as he added: “Raychel, your bravery, love, true grit and determination to give our Maisie a best friend for life is nothing short of incredible. I saw such strength in you that I never thought possible, I love you with my heart and my soul and promise to teach our boy to be kind, caring, protective and loving.
“He will carry the legacy of the great men he is named after.” In a direct message to his son, the actor continued: “Little Johnny, JJ… I am so proud to be your Dad, you and I will have the most wonderful adventure together, we are going to love and support your mum and sister, because I know they love you so much already.
“I love you Raychel, thank you for giving me the honour to be your babies‘ Dad.” Fans and co-stars rushed to congratulate the couple as Home and Away’s Todd Lasance said: “Amazing news, mate. Congratulations, guys. Incredible.”
A fan commented: “Absolutely gorgeous! Congratulations!” Another added: “So happy for you both!” Luke and Raychel met in 2017 and had started trying for a baby a year later.
However, they realised they were struggling to conceive and started their IVF journey. Sadly, it was a heartbreaking experience for the couple as they suffered three miscarriages.
Maisie was born in 2023, and Luke opened up about the moment Raychel became pregnant with her. “We weren’t expecting that, so we just lost our minds,” he said.
“We were so close to not trying anymore because it was just so hard.” Luke has been in the spotlight for years, having joined the cast of Aussie teen drama Heartbreak High in the 90s.
He went on to star in Home and Away before winning Dancing with the Stars in 2008. Luke recently presented the Australian X Factor.
