Simon Cowell, the creator of the TV show Talent, stunned his fans by revealing a rare photo of his 11-year-old son Eric. The viewers were shocked to learn how similar they are and how quickly their relationship is developing.
Simon Cowell has shared just how fast his son Eric is growing up as he gave fans a look into his summer holiday. The Britain’s Got Talent judge kept his 11-year-old son out of the spotlight as much as he could in his early years, but it seems he has changed his mind now Eric is older.
He has been opening up about family life with his son and partner Lauren Silverman, with Eric now almost as tall as his famous dad. Simon revealed new photos of his only child as they hit the road for the latest series of America’s Got Talent.
The father and son shared a sweet moment together in their tour bus as they appeared as close as ever. Simon was snapped with Eric and their dog while they both beamed at the camera.

The 11-year-old showcased his curly, dark locks while rocking a blue T-shirt from America’s Got Talent. As Simon sat in front of Eric while sporting a grey T-shirt, Simon pet his dog.
He merely put “Everyone’s happy” as the caption to the post appeared alongside other filming-related images. As one person said, “In my head, Eric is maybe 3 months old,” the audience was shocked at how mature he looked.
Another added: “Omg your mini me”. Someone else commented: “He looks like his Daddy.” X Factor star Sam Bailey commented: “Hey Simon!!!! Eric is the image of you. Wow he’s so grown up!!! Lovely to see xx.”
Earlier this year, Simon marked Father’s Day with an emotional interview about becoming a dad. Simon welcomed his only child Eric in February 2014 with partner Lauren.
Eric made an unexpected on-screen appearance on Britain’s Got Talent last year despite maintaining his relatively private family life. Simon also revealed that his son was a skilled drummer during the series.
His decision to speak publicly about Eric continued as he sat down with Jeff Brazier in June. Speaking to father of two Jeff, Simon adorably shared how much his son meant to him.
Everything, really, really. This is the best thing that has ever happened to me out of everything I’ve ever done. I literally became obsessed with his scan the first time I saw it, he said.
Simon’s concerns for his son’s modern-day development were also shared by him. The word “phone” is coming up in our culture. “Oh god, here we go,” Simon, who famously said he doesn’t have a personal cell phone, remarked.
“I’m very concerned, Jeff, about how much children can see when they grow up. Which was learning things at the right time, at the right age, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera, as I grew up. I would be extremely upset if he had access to anything, which would really bother me.
Jeff pressed the star, who said he would be “absolutely honest” with him about what he would do if his son wanted to take the showbiz direction.
I’ve given this a thought. I would be completely honest with him if he admitted to me that he couldn’t sing and that I wanted to be a singer. I would ask him to “You know what, be a drummer” if he couldn’t.
He is quite shy, but he does play the drums well. You see, as I walk, he stops as I hear him. Why are you stopping, I ask. and I respond, “Well, I’m a little embarrassed,” and I respond, “Well don’t be, you’re really good.”
