Signs of MAFS Lacey Martin’s ‘painful’ health issue that made it ‘hard to film’

Reality TV star Lacey Martin revealed how a serious medical condition affected her ability to appear on Channel 4’s “Married At First Sight.” The details of her health issues were not widely known, despite the fact that viewers were able to witness her initial development of her relationship with Nathan Campbell.
She told OK! “I had times on set when I had my period and was really suffering with my endometriosis,” she continued. in a recent exclusive interview. I felt extremely bloated, heavy, and weak. At one point, I actually fainted on set – but the crew and production and medics were amazing, they came running”.
According to the NHS, endometriosis is a chronic condition where cells similar to those found in the womb lining develop elsewhere in the body. This can give rise to an array of painful symptoms including intense period pain, heavy bleeding, and pain during intercourse, taking a huge toll on everyday life.
Despite her insistence that something was seriously wrong, Lacey, who was diagnosed at the age of 20, shared that it took doctors “four whole years” to identify her condition. Now, the Hertfordshire-born reality star is determined to raise awareness and support for those affected by the disease.
Lacey said: “They kept offering me the implant, or different ways to help with my flow, but it wasn’t working with my body. I felt depressed, because it had an impact on my life, on my relationship at the time – he was like, ‘ Why do you keep bleeding, what’s going on? ‘ Nobody was listening to me, and I felt as though I was being ingrained in my own body.
” […] I thought it was normal for years, but obviously it wasn’t! Because I would experience severe pain during or after sex, severe period pain, pelvic pain, and severe blood loss, I’ve previously lost jobs due to sickness and hospital stays, which had an impact on our relationship after ten years of dating. Employers weren’t understanding at all. “

Endometriosis can make it difficult to conceive a child, but fortunately, doctors have told Lacey that she still can. She claimed that receiving this update was “amazing,” even though it may require the use of the IVF method.
” I’ve spoken to my twin Paige for years about my worries, I also thought men might not even want to be with me, if I couldn’t have kids, “she continued”. And she’s actually said she would carry a baby for me, which is just incredible. She referred to her as my right arm, and said that she would carry a child with her in case I ever needed one. She’s my best friend. “
Although Lacey and Nathan, 24, from MAFS are no longer dating, they did so last night at the reunion show. This is now accessible through Channel 4’s online streaming service.
