Late on July 1, 2025, a night fire destroyed stores in a complex along Alakia Isebo Road.

Five out of the 19 stores in the complex were infected by the fire before Oyo State Fire Service employees arrived and extinguished it.

Adesina Olusoji, who was in charge of the rescue effort led by firemen, contacted her on Tuesday at 11:22 pm to coordinate the situation.

The Oyo State Fire Service stated in a situation report that the fire had to be completely contained and that it needed to be salvaged.

Five out of ten (10) shops were affected by the fire, and agents from the Agency were able to save hundreds of thousands of naira-saver properties.

According to the report, an electric surge that ignited nearby combustibles set the shops on fire.
