According to Swiss police, an explosion that ripped through a bar in the upscale Alpine ski resort town of Crans Montana resulted in the deaths of several people and injuries for others.
According to Gaetan Lathion, a police spokesman in Wallis canton in southwest Switzerland, “there has been an explosion of unknown origin.”

He claimed that revellers rang in the new year’s eve at around 1: 30 am (00: 30 GMT) in a popular tourist bar called Le Constellation as revelers rang in the morning.
A building was in flames, and emergency services were nearby, according to images released by Swiss media.
Lathion stated that the intervention is still being conducted.
