SEC Suspends Firm, To Publish Names Of Erring Operators In “Name And Shame” Journal
Centurion Registrars Limited, its directors, and other sponsored individuals have been suspended from the capital market by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
The commission made the announcement in a statement titled “Additional Enforcement Measures on Erring Capital Market Operators.”
According to the SEC, “All Centurion Registrars clients are advised to get in touch with Africa Prudential Plc for advice.”
This is a part of the commission’s wider efforts to stop it from regulating capital market operators in 2025.

In a related update, the commission announced that it would publish the names of capital market operators who break market rules in “Name and Shame” magazine.
According to the SEC, the decision complies with recently revised enforcement strategies and reflects a zero-tolerance policy for infractions in the capital market.
The publication will be “in addition to the sanctions and penalties for the respective infractions prescribed by the ISA 2007 and the SEC rules and regulations,” according to the notice.
