Seahawks beat 49ers to claim top spot in NFC

The Seattle Seahawks won the NFC West title and the top spot in the NFC with a 13-3 victory over the San Francisco 49ers, giving them a first-round bye and home advantage throughout the playoffs.

The Seahawks’ team won thanks to a strong defensive performance on the road, and Zach Charbonnet scored the game’s only touchdown.

They now have a 14-3 record thanks to their seventh straight victory.

Three division winners play at home against three wildcard opponents over Wildcard Weekend, with the second seed playing seventh, third hosting sixth, and fourth facing fifth.

The top seeds then advance to the Divisional Round by hosting the lowest seed with the lowest remaining seed and the next highest seed traveling home to the lowest seed.
