Schoolgirls Abduction: VP Shettima Departs Abuja For Kebbi

On President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s request, Vice President Kashim Shettima has flown to Kebbi State. The state government and the schoolgirls’ families have been abducted from Maga’s Government Girls Secondary School.

Governor Nasiru Idris, traditional rulers, security officials, and the students’ parents will meet with the vice president.

Shettima, the president’s express assurance to the Kebbi State residents that the Federal Government would ensure the quick and secure release of the abducted girls, was a specific President’s order.

The Vice President will also express the President’s condolences regarding recent security issues and reiterate the administration’s commitment to secure all educational institutions nationwide.

The statement signed by the VP’s media aide, Stanley Nwkocha, revealed on Wednesday that the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda, Bernard Doro, Bernard Doro, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, and the Director-General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Hajiya Zu

Vice Principal Malam Hassan Makuku, who was reportedly killed trying to stop the bandits from abducting the girls, was killed in the attack on the Kebbi school.

A combined tactical team was sent to search the forest on Monday, according to the police, in an effort to save the girls.

Bola Tinubu, the president, expressed regret for the attack and offered condolences to the victims’ families.
