Following her passing, Sarah Fisher, a campaigner for animal rights and mother to Emily Head from Inbetweeners, has been referred to as “extraordinary” and “compassionate” in her memory.

Inbetweeners’ star Emily Head has led poignant tributes to her “extraordinary mum” Sarah Fisher following her death.

Sarah, who was an animal welfare campaigner, passed away aged 61 “with very little warning” last week, Emily and her sister Daisy said. Sarah has been remembered as “compassionate” in a statement posted to a social media page for Tilley Farm, a 90-acre property in Somerset which she ran.

Emily, who portrayed Carli D’Amato in The Inbetweeners, said: “We are so sorry to learn that our extraordinary, kind, and talented mother, Sarah, passed away recently. We all find it to be incredibly shocking, and it was without much warning.

No words can describe the crater her absence has left, or even begin to express how she encapsulated it. We are aware of how profoundly her life has affected so many people, and we are proud of the legacy she is leaving behind.

Daisy, 34, has appeared in numerous dramas and movies since 2002, including Harlots, The Syndicate, and Guilt. She will appear in the 1950s drama The Gray House, which will be available on Prime Video in February.

The heartbreaking tribute added: “We only wish she’d had more time to share her knowledge and brilliance with us, and the world. Our grief knows no bounds, nor did the reaches of her incredibly unique and irreplaceable spirit.

We are grateful to you all for supporting her rich life and how much she valued the friendships she had with all of her friends, coworkers, and collaborators, many of whom she kept in touch with here.

Sarah, born in Epsom, Surrey, married actor Anthony Head in 1982 and had Daisy and Emily with him. The animal welfare advocate was an ambassador for Battersea Dogs And Cats Home and patron of Holly Hedge Animal Sanctuary.

We’re deeply sorry for Sarah Fisher’s loss, according to Peter Laurie, chief executive at Battersea, and extend our sincere sympathies to Anthony and Sarah’s family and friends.

Sarah has supported our charity for so long, working with her partner Anthony Head, using her canine behavior expertise to train our staff and volunteers, and participating in many of our events and fundraisers. We at Battersea will miss her dearly.

Anthony, who has appeared in Ted Lasso, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Little Britain, has not yet made a public admission to his grief. He backed Sarah’s campaign efforts, including those for Bristol’s Holly Hedge Animal Sanctuary.

It came as a shock to learn that Sarah Fisher, a patron of the Holly Hedge Animal Sanctuary and a champion for all animals, had passed away, wrote Pauline Leeson, the founder of this. “Our hearts go out to Anthony, Daisy, and family.

Sarah was the most sincere, sympathetic, and compassionate person who could speak for those dear souls who had no voice.
