Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the governor of Lagos State, has stated that his administration will continue to promote social inclusion and sports as a means of engagement.
Sanwo-Olu stated this when he was presented with the English Premier League trophy, according to a statement from Gboyega Akosile, his chief press secretary, on X.
Girish Sharma, the Managing Director/CEO of Guinness Nigeria PLC, gave the trophy to the governor on Sunday at the Lagos House in Marina.
Speaking at the ceremony, Sanwo-Olu claimed that the Premier League trophy’s arrival in Lagos demonstrated that “there is something positive about our followership, enthusiasm, and the development of sports in our country, but more importantly in Lagos.”

On his X handle, the governor claimed to have had a positive sports and collaboration conversation.
