The Cleveland Browns selected cornerback Shedeur Sanders with the sixth pick of the fifth round and 144th overall.

The son of legendary dual-purpose player Deion Sanders, the former University of Colorado player, was anticipated to be the top-five pick.

Analysts were perplexed by his decline in the draft as team after team decided not to pick him. What’s wrong with NFL owners, asks US President Donald Trump in a tweet that came to mind.

When the pick was made public, Sanders wrote, “Thank you, God,” on social media.

In order to pick up Sanders, the Browns traded the Philadelphia Eagles’ 166th and 192nd overall picks.

According to Browns general manager Andrew Berry, “we thought he was a good, solid prospect at the most important position.”

We believed that after the draft, he was probably undervalued.

After being defeated by Oregon’s Dillon Gabriel in the third round, the Browns selected him as their sixth quarterback overall.

DeShaun Watson, Kenny Pickett, and Joe Flacco, a 40-year-old champion of the NFL, are also on the Browns’ roster, despite Watson’s injury and likely misses for the rest of the season.

In a distinguished NFL career, Sanders’ father, Deion, played cornerback in defense, kick returner in offense, and wide receiver in offence for various teams, including the Dallas Cowboy and the San Francisco 49ers.
