Made in Chelsea star Sam Thompson has learned that his ex-girlfriend Zara McDermott has left One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson, leaving him “devastated.”
Sam Thompson, 32, who ended his five-year relationship with Zara in December, was left stunned and hurt when he discovered she had been on dates so soon after their split. A source revealed to The Sun: “Sam is obviously devastated by the news, he was with Zara for years and the break-up has hit him hard.”
He is taking some time off to concentrate on himself, which completely blinds and embarrasses him. He is still dealing with the effects of the split, but he didn’t anticipate Zara would move so quickly. He has been trying to keep busy and distract himself by focusing on his work, friends, and family, but hasn’t found the break to be easy. However, everyone can see that he is struggling and needs to reevaluate things.
Throughout the fallout from their break-up, Sam’s close friends, including Pete Wicks, have been there for him, particularly following this latest development. “His close knit group of friends have stepped in to support him and his family have been rallying around him,” they continued. “Although it’s been a tough few months, Sam is determined to put the past behind him and move forward.”
He says, “He’s looking to the future right now, and I’m excited about all the exciting projects he’s got coming up with, like Pete and I’s Staying Relevant Live at the O2.” After what has been a difficult time following the split, he is also taking a break and is trying to concentrate on what he loves to do. He continues to work hard and is attempting to fill his diary over the coming months, and he thinks this might be a good thing for him.
This comes after Zara McDermott has moved on from the relationship with Louis Tomlinson. The Made In Chelsea and Love Island star Zara ended their relationship in December after five years together, with Zara recently confirming she has moved out of their Chelsea home.
A few months after the breakup was confirmed, Zara, 28, was spotted enjoying a cosy date with One Direction musician Louis, 33, at a hotel in Aldeburgh in Suffolk. A fellow guest spotted the duo tucking into a romantic meal following a string of past dates. The duo were seen giggling and holding hands while they dined on £100 fish and chips plus cocktails.
Amid their split, Sam discussed recovering from a relationship on his podcast, Staying Relevant , with guest Paul C Brunson. During their chat, Sam asked dating expert Paul how to handle ‘being given the boot’ as he noted how fans noticed how he had ‘sadness behind his eyes’.
Everyone who claims to have witnessed the sadness in my breakup keeps saying, “I went through it.” Paul responded to the I’m A Celeb star’s question by saying, “This is a tough one, and this is a deep one. You have to identify the emotion and get inside it, Sam said, “Horrible.”
After Zara split from Made In Chelsea boyfriend Sam earlier this year, it has now been revealed that she has bought her own property – and it’s just around the corner from the home they shared together. She bought her new home for £500,000, a source told The Sun. They said : “She bought it two weeks ago under her company name, it’s a two bed flat in a nice area and weirdly, not that far from where she lived with Sam. It will make it really awkward when they cross paths at the local pub or in a coffee shop, though.”
