Salford appoint Grady as boss ahead of 2026 season

Prior to the start of the 2026 Championship season, Salford RLFC appointed Mike Grady as their head coach.

Grady has also held positions at Widnes Vikings and Rochdale Hornets as head coaches of the club’s women’s team in 2023.

Just 11 days before Salford’s first game of the season, which they have won since being wound up by the High Court and later revamped under the ownership of a consortium led by former player Mason Caton-Brown, arrives on the field facing Oldham in the opening game of the season.

“It’s a privilege to have the opportunity to lead Salford RLFC.” Many of us have been motivated by Grady’s optimism, belief, and sense of hope that the new ownership has developed, she said.
