Bukayo Saka, an Arsenal forward, will not play in the England team that will face Andorra in Saturday’s World Cup qualifier (17:00 BST).
Ollie Watkins, who returned home with a minor injury, and Atletico Madrid midfielder Conor Gallagher and Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins were both left out of the matchday squad.
Head coach Thomas Tuchel revealed on Friday that Saka had only completed one full training session this week, with his absence from the squad for the game against Andorra likely being related to his fitness.
Saka, 23, has been injured and has missed the Germans’ first camp. She has not yet played for Tuchel.
To add to his 43 caps for the Three Lions, it is yet to be seen if Saka will participate in the friendly against Senegal on June 10.
The winger’s hamstring injury prevented him from playing for three months between December and April, but he made it back for the final two months of the campaign.
Watkins’ departure from the group to return to England as a precautionary measure was made public on Friday.
At this point, it’s not clear whether Gallagher’s absence is related to a fitness issue.
