After a tumultuous romance, Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan split up, but it seems like the American singer still has the Irish star in her heart.
When she appeared to be slammed against her ex-boyfriend Barry Keoghan, Sabrina Carpenter raised eyebrows. Following a slow-burning career that didn’t take off until she broke into the mainstream with her 2024 hit Espresso, the American pop star has grown a sizable following.
The 26-year-old had been working hard for ten years prior, but thanks to a number of chart-topping songs, he has since managed to stay in the spotlight. However, success often results in greater scrutiny, and Sabrina has seen her personal life brought into the spotlight as a result of her fame.
When the American singer reportedly found love with Irish actor Barry Keoghan, 33, in 2024, the public was enthralled. However, the romance ended abruptly, and the couple had already broken up by the year’s end.

However, Sabrina is not finished talking about her former love and took a swipe at him on social media as the year 2025 came to an end. And her insult came after the singer’s provocative song, Manchild, which many fans have assumed was his Irish actor despite the singer’s own insistence that it is not.
In the vortex of time that exists between Christmas and New Year, Sabrina took to social media to post a cryptic message. On TikTok, she reposted a video of a fan complaining: “It’s been a tough year, but at least I didn’t get back with my ex.”
Many people flooded the comments about the singer’s re-possession of the clip, which revealed that she had shared it and what she might have meant as a result. Sabrina hasn’t shared any romantic interests since she broke up with Barry, whereas previous romantics involved Bradley Steven Perry, American singer Joshua Bassett, Canadian pop singer Shawn Mendes, and American actor Bradley Steven Perry.
Over on Instagram, Sabrina offered an upbeat look back at her year – as she plugged the fact a bonus version of her latest album was available for fans to listen to. Sharing snaps of herself with a vintage car and a dog, the singer wrote: “To thank you for such a beautiful year …and to supply whoever needs a cathartic Christmas crashout song… Man’s best friend bonus track edition with one of my favorites ‘Such a Funny Way’ is now officially available on streaming.”
Sabrina continued, “I adore you all so much. Thank you for your kindness toward these songs and for making 2025 special! There is still so much good to come, and that’s my feeling of accomplishment.
In August, Sabrina released her seventh studio album, Man’s Best Friend. Fans and feminists, however, criticized the American star for the album cover art, which depicted her on all fours while a man held her by her hair.
The star made an appearance on Saturday Night Live two months later to quench her anger over the contentious image. The pop singer made the decision to make a tongue-in-cheek comment during her appearance on SNL.
She began, addressing fan concerns that the image was anti-feminist and said “some people got a little freaked out by the cover.” “I’m not sure why,” she said. I was merely “on all fours, with a hidden person pulling my hair,” I thought.
She continued, “But what people don’t realize is how they cropped it.” After Martin Short shoved me out of the buffet line and said, “Daddy need his mini quiche,” it’s obvious that it’s from the 50th anniversary special of Yang helping me up by the hair.
Following the outcry, the singer had previously attempted to calm the situation by attempting to release an alternative album cover. The new image, which was significantly less provocative than the original, depicted her holding onto the arm of a suited man, while she joked that the alternate album artwork was “approved by God.”
