Fans were adamant that Barbara Carpenter’s new song, which will be released later this week, was a brutal attack on her ex-boyfriend, Irish actor Barry Keoghan.
Sabrina Carpenter appeared to take aim at her ex Barry Keoghan as she announced her latest tune. The actress-turned-singer revealed her latest sing on Tuesday, taking to Instagram to make her announcement.
She announced that Manchild, her newest song, will be available on Thursday night. The 26-year-old singer had earlier posted a tease video for the song a week prior to Tuesday’s confirmation.
Her most recent revelation appeared to be an insult to the actor. She remarked, “This one is about you!” Manchild “is out this Thursday, 6/5, 8pm EST. special 7” vinyl is now on sale.
She said, “In your head when you’ve just won an argument with a man,” while also quoting the lyrics from the song.
In the video, Sabrina is seen sporting platform high heels, cheeky denim shorts, and a white top. In the video, she is seen hitchhiking, but two passing cars ignore her.
No music can be heard throughout the scene in the 17-second clip. Sabrina says, “Oh, boy,” before going on.
Fans quickly start to talk about the upload, and many people seemed to agree that the message was intended for Irishman. And we are aware of who you are talking to, according to one user.
Another person concurred, saying, “Oh, Barry, you’re so over.” “We CANNOT WAIT,” added a third person, “DRAG HIM BABE.”
Numerous billboards have been spotted in various US cities following her revelation. I swear they choose me, I’m not choosing them, and there are signs that read “Amen!” and “Hey men!” and “Manchild”
The singer is currently in the middle of her tour, ‘Short n’ Sweet’.
In 2023, Sabrina and Barry first fell in love romantically. The pair made their first public appearance at the Grammy Awards after party the year before going official.
The Saltburn star even appeared in Sabrina’s song Please, Please, Please in spite of what appeared to be going well. It was believed that he was also the subject of the song.
Their relationship ended in December of that year, and their relationship ended. According to reports, the duo reportedly made the decision to leave their jobs to concentrate on their careers.
The duo almost had an awkward reunion as they both attended this year’s Met Gala in New York. The Espresso hitmaker and the dad-of-one posed together at the event in May last year after being first linked months prior. Three months later it was reported Sabrina and Barry had split up, with the Saltburn actor deactivating his social media accounts and issuing a damning statement as fans speculated he had cheated on his ex.
