Sally, a co-star of Ryan Clark’s BBC Radio 2 show, revealed what she thought of Kennedy Bates after the pair made an Instagram official this week.
Rylan Clark’s co-star issued a playful warning to him live on air this week, as they discussed his new relationship. On Saturday, the 36-year-old went Instagram official with his boyfriend Kennedy Bates, a fairground entrepreneur, who he has been dating for several months.
Ryan initially revealed the couple’s recent relationship in a recent episode of his podcast How To Be In Love, but he kept the identity of Kennedy a secret.
He did, however, confirm that they both desired children and had been dating for a while.
Since then, he has since become more open about their romance, most recently posting photos of the couple on a romantic weekend in Florence.
Discussing their Italian escape live on his BBC Radio 2 programme on Saturday, he asked Sally Boazman if it felt “weird” to mention his name.
She acknowledged, “It feels strange that you’re saying it.”
Because she knows him, Rylan rebuffed, adding, “Of course I do, I’ve known him for a while.” “
Then Sally revealed to the audience that she had unknowingly met Kennedy on their first date.
We just happened to run into each other on your first date, she said.
Rylan continued, “We did, which is quite surreal,” while clearly recalling the incident. You asked, “Who is this, exactly? ” Oh God, I was like. “
Sally continued, “Well, he looks alright, yeah, you’ve got my approval,” recalling her initial response.
He “is a lovely man,” she continued, and Rylan reaffirmed her assertion.
He responded, “He is lovely, and I’m a very lucky man.”
You are, just, you know, behave yourself, and enjoy it, Sally continued with a playful warning to Rylan. “
He responded, “I’m a huge behaver and I’m enjoying it a lot,” before moving on.
Since splitting from Dan Neal in 2021, Ryan has had his first official romance with Kennedy.
The ex-couple were married for six years after first crossing paths in 2013, when Dan was a contestant on the 14th series of Big Brother and Rylan was presenting its spin-off show, Bit On The Side.
Rylan admitted to being unfaithful in his 2022 memoir Ten: The Decade That Changed My Future, and that it was the catalyst for his marriage to end.
He explained that his adultery had occurred years earlier and that he had not anticipated that Dan’s relationship would end.
He expressed regret for his past deeds, saying, “I have no excuses for what I did in those days, but I had my reasons.” I believe that nothing I did was right or not quite right enough, which I felt a little like an imposter for many years.
People once told me this, which confirmed my own self-loathing.
