The British Superbike Championship has won back-to-back titles for Kyle Ryde as a rider since 2017.
The 28-year-old won the season’s final race at Brands Hatch over Bradley Ray by 20 points.
Ryde became the first champion to win the BSB title since Shane Byrne did so in 2016 and 2017.
However, Ray put pressure on Ryde by finishing second behind Danny Kent in a wet third race, but the championship leader kept his composure to come away with a sixth place finish to clinch the title.
Ryde, who won six races and won 14 podiums in 33 races, told TNT Sports, “It’s amazing that both me and Brad had a great season.”
“It’s unfortunate that one of us had to lose.” Not just being a part of my team, but it means a lot.
Glenn Irwin, Ryde’s teammate, finished his campaign with an eighth- and two-placed finishes in the top three races, missing three rounds of the season with a pelvic injury.
Irish rider Rhys Irwin won the British Supersport title by four points ahead of Ben Currie in a championship-day showdown at Brands Hatch.
