The TV presenters announced their divorce in June 2024 after 27 years together
Ruth Langsford is said to be “furious” with her estranged husband, Eamonn Holmes, after he failed to reach out to their son Jack at Christmas. According to reports, Eamonn also gave his older children, son Niall and daughter Rebecca, from his relationship with first wife Gabrielle, “the cold shoulder” over the festive period.
Insiders say the Loose Women star “won’t forgive” her ex for the snub as their divorce continues to rumble on. The TV presenters announced their split in 2024, after 14 years of marriage. Ruth allegedly found messages from Eamonn to another woman.
A statement at the time read: “Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing.”

A source told Bella magazine: “Ruth is furious that Eamonn made no attempt to reach out to his son Jack to offer an olive branch and try to build bridges over Christmas and New Year.
“She says the least Eamonn could have done was to reach out and wish him good tidings and keep the door open. She won’t forgive him.”
Following news of their split, Eamonn moved on with counsellor Katie Alexander, who is 22 years his junior. In July, it was reported that Eamonn’s son Niall was on Ruth’s side after he and Eamonn had a huge row. After Eamonn and Katie rocked up to an engagement party for one of Eamonn’s GB News pals, a source claimed the dad-of-four had a huge falling out with his son from his first marriage.
They told The Sun: “Niall and Eamonn had a massive fallout. There was a huge row following his split from Ruth. Things were said between them that cannot be unsaid, it must be heartbreaking for Eamonn. Eamonn accused him of siding with Ruth while Niall hit back about his dad’s behaviour.”
Meanwhile, another source told Bella magazine that Eamonn’s children are ’embarrassed’ by his behaviour. They claimed: “All the kids are very upset, hurt and embarrassed by Eamonn’s behaviour and are tired of the constant pressure of picking sides. They’ve warned him not to make them choose because he might not like the outcome, but he didn’t listen.”
Eamonn is said to have made a dig at Ruth when he attended his colleague Nana Akua’s engagement party earlier this month. According to Bella, the veteran presenter gushed that Katie was his “soulmate” at the glamorous bash in London while also reportedly quipping: “In sickness you find out who is there for you.”
Responding, a source told the publication Eamonn’s children were ‘unhappy’ with the alleged jibe, as they said: “As far as they see it, Ruth isn’t the one swanning around with someone new and younger on her arm.”
Eamonn is often seen in a wheelchair due to his chronic health problems after having a double hip replacement and spinal surgery.
