Ruth Langsford, the actress who once enjoyed a successful marriage to GB News’ Eamonn Holmes, has been trying to mend her broken heart since 2024.

After a challenging 2025, Ruth Langsford is planning a bumper year that’s packed with fresh opportunities – including, hopefully, an exciting new romance. Following her painful split from TV star Eamonn Holmes, we’re told the Loose Women host is eager to grab 2026 with both hands and put herself – and her love life – first.

“This marks a new beginning,” the author says. She’ll be divorced, she’s getting a new book out, and she’s feeling fantastic, according to a source close to the actress. It’s undoubtedly a new beginning because she’s looking for love. She will turn in her year in 2026.

Eamonn and Ruth, 65, were married for 14 years to one another before they split up. We’re told the presenter wants to find someone who is both upbeat and truly happy in life, and what that means for her.

Our source claims that she is seeking a “not grumpy” partner. It’s really important to find a fun partner who makes her laugh. Because Ruth is a great comedian, he must also be funny and entertaining. Don’t expect to see Ruth join the popular dating app Raya anytime soon, though.

Our source claims Ruth prefers to be paired with someone who has a crush on her pals or who she meets in person and naturally. She’s not going online, she’s old school, according to what we’ve been told. “It’s done through socializing, going out, and making friends.” She does it the old-fashioned way, where you meet people in bars, restaurants, or with mates. She is keeping an eye on you.

Our source claims that Ruth, who is now free and single, wants to completely overhaul every aspect of her life. She is living life to the full and is “living it to the full” in 2026, the pal claims. She put her heart and soul into her career, and she will enjoy more fun in her personal life in 2026. She will enjoy every aspect of it.

When Ruth and Eamonn, 66, made their divorce plans known in May 2024, they shocked the audience. The couple, who have a 23-year-old son, wed in 2010, tied the knot after dating in 1996. After their breakup, Eamonn and Katie Alexander, a married counsellor, moved out of their Surrey home.

Despite their 23-year separation, the couple’s romance seems to be flourishing, with the couple regularly attending high-profile events and taking lavish vacations. Ruth revealed a few weeks ago that she is finally ready to move on after two challenging years.

“O my God, what’s going to happen, I saw darkness and was thinking,” I wondered.” However, she claimed in Woman &amp, Home magazine that the fear is now gone. What do you do, then? You crumble, right? Do you pass away suddenly? I’ll survive, but not you, I promise.

She also made an open letter to seek therapy to help her deal with the breakup. She confided that she began counseling after Eamonn and I split up, and that she is still having it. It is both extremely powerful and useful. It gives me tools for handling situations.

She acknowledged she is willing to find love once more, saying, “I haven’t been put off having a relationship.” She continued to say that she is “actually quite good” on her own. I’ve never been turned off by marriage. Ruth refuted online claims that she had fallen in love with a former flame in November, calling the claims “terrible.”

She said, “Apparently I have a new man,” in a conversation with Loose Women. I believe I first met this man when we were young girls, but I didn’t when I was a child. Now that we are back together, things have changed. Isn’t it Terrible, is it not?

Our source claims that Ruth wants to “look after herself” and move on as she prepares for 2026. She will “get the divorce out of the way” next year, according to the source.

Ruth simply intends to continue working, remain optimistic, and care about the fitness aspect of things. She’s just beginning to enjoy her Pilates. She wants to look as good as she can at age 65.

And of course, her fellow Loose Women panellists are cheering her on. “She’s got a great network of mates, including Coleen Nolan, who’s a very good friend,” says our source. “They just tell her she can achieve anything and that age is just a number in her life. She’s got this next chapter and they’re all encouraging her.”

In terms of chapters, Ruth is also gearing up for the February release of her debut memoir, Feeling Fabulous. She said, “I’ve been asked to do a book many times, and I’ve always said “no,” “because I’ve always thought, “Who cares about my life, or what I’ve done in my life? ” when I first asked why.

The stories in this article are just reflections because I’m at a certain point in my life and at a certain age. It’s “Realing that there will be” heart-wrenching “parts of the book,” Ruth continued, “so it’s stories from my life, actual events that have occurred to me, lessons I’ve learned from them, how I’ve coped, and how I’m finding life now, at age 65. Wondering if Eamonn will place an order for a copy?
