Fighting

  • After the ministry had previously reported downing more than 300 Ukrainian drones, Russia’s defense ministry announced that air defenses had shot down 105 of them over Russia’s regions, 35 of which were over the Moscow region.
  • One person was killed in a Russian artillery attack in the area, according to Kherson Governor Oleksandr Prokudin.
  • According to H, 11 people were hurt in 35 Kherson areas, including Kherson city, in recent days as a result of air and artillery shelling.
  • The army is conducting “active operations in the Kursk and Belgorod regions,” according to President Zelenskyy of Ukraine, and the “most intense situation” is in the Donetsk region.

Diplomacy

  • On the horizon, European Union legislators are expected to approve tariffs on Russian-imported fertilizers. More than 80 members of both parties’ parties voted in favor of a United States Senate bill that would impose new sanctions on Russia for the war.

  • Russian cyber-attacks on logistics and tech firms that provide foreign aid to Ukraine were advised by Ukraine’s allies, including the US and UK.
