Holly Aitchison, a fly-half for the Red Roses, is renowned for her accurate kicking, ability to guide her team, and glam makeup looks on the pitch.

During the England 2021 Rugby World Cup, Holly Aitchison and Hannah Botterman pose for photos.

Holly Aitchison, 27, the so-called ‘cool girl’ of the squad (“I want to know who started that rumour,” she laughs), has not only been a key player since 2021, helping the team secure multiple Six Nations titles, but is also a former Olympian with Team GB 7s at Tokyo.

In terms of rituals before a big game, she says, “I love a face mask, a nice bubble bath with candles, and I give myself two hours to do my full make-up.” As I get better, I play better, so it’s important to me. I’m sick of people asking me why, because I’m so bored. Why not, I ask myself.

Holly is open to sharing her acne struggles. She claims that she experienced a lot of anxiety as a result of her skin journey. From the age of 16 until the age of 20, I had bad acne.

“I wouldn’t leave my room,” he said. My entire life has been filled with anxiety, but rugby has given me that feeling. My absolute security is there.
