Penny Lancaster, the ‘icing on the cake’ for her and his ex-wife Rachel Hunter, has been revealed about the huge blended family of the Maggie May singer and her husband.
In her large, mixed family, including rock legend husband and wife of Sir Rod Stewart, Penny Lancaster confessed a heartfelt “icing on the cake” episode.
During a heart-to-heart with Coleen Nolan on a fresh instalment of Loose Women: The Podcast, Penny discussed her and the ‘Maggie May’ hitmaker’s extended clan.
Sarah, Kimberly, Sean, Ruby, Renee, Liam, Alastair Wallace, Aiden Patrick, and Susannah Boffey, Alana Stewart, Rachel Hunter, Rod’s biological child, are his parents.
With such a large brood, Coleen looked into how she handled making friends with everyone. The 54-year-old acknowledged her uncertainty about “what it would be like” in a “divorce situation” when your children take a “new wife” on vacation.
She pondered that had her offspring been younger and had she been in the shoes of Rod’s previous partners, her concerns may have spiked over another woman having “influence” on her children or making contentious decisions, reports Edinburgh Live.
She continued to say she “really did take into account” the feelings of the biological mother when Rod’s children were growing up, admitting that she “could only imagine” the difficulties facing the children who were going through their parents’ divorce.
As the conversation progressed, Coleen inquired as to whether Penny now believes she can handle a situation like this. “Now that my boys are older, I wouldn’t have a problem with that at all,” Penny said.
Rod Stewart’s wife Penny Lancaster has spoken about the bond between her children and those of her husband’s ex-partners, revealing that they all get along famously.
Penny said, “You know, my children, I made sure that they got to know Rachel, Kelly, and Alana,” in a statement on Loose Women. And Rachel and my little boys would accompany Liam to Liam’s hockey game, you know?
The son of Rachel’s son recently married last summer, and he asked my son to be his best man, she continued, adding, “And I think that’s kind of the icing on the cake.”
In other news, Rod Stewart’s eating habits are said to be characterized by a life of luxury. Every evening, the rocker indulges in three-course meals with candles, according to his wife Penny.
Penny revealed on BBC Celebrity MasterChef in 2021 that Rod’s love of fine dining means she doesn’t often cook for him. She said: “Rod kind of likes the fine dining every evening, three-course dinners, candles, and it’s kind of out of my league, so I do the kids’ cooking but otherwise, not really au fait.”
